How-to for 'group authoring' a document?

I'm interested in using Plone to support some (ISO) standards work, where the group is creating and commenting on (including formal balloting) a document.  Is there a how-to somewhere for this particular usage?  

It's kinda difficult to search for 'group authoring' as you get a lot of irrelevant responses, we've run out of words here :-)
