I was disallowed ANY col R (17) for regular edit book maintainence.
The district disallowed ANY edit book time.
How many others either were allowed, or disallowed, and what were the average weekly minutes allowed?
(I am going to greive this, just wanted a show of hands of any others who might fall into this same catagory of "red-linning".)
BTW, my state steward also states that I am not allowed an avarage weekly time, even tho I provided union and management documentation, stating that edit book time "MUST be built into the route evaluation".

I have a supervisor that would only allow 1 minute per week for edit book entries and corrections.  According to the Mail Count Guide, the time we take to work on our edit books is supposed to be "actual time" and recorded in colmun 17.  I filed a count related grievance/disagreement on this.  I have not heard anything from my state steward on this yet.
Need up to date info on what is really going on in the world?  Listen to Dr. Stan Monteith on http://www.radioliberty.com.

no edit book time for me.  i always have been religious about keeping up on all changes, and sending it in monthly.  my spo said that only changes from vacant to active or vice-versa is all that is allowed, no name updates.  she had taken out my vacants during route inspection that were going to be past 90 days by the end of mailcount, and then wouldn't let me update any to active during count

i guess i probably won't send it in again till next january. - no allowed time to do it, so i won't.   i've had two audit's in the last three years, and scored 98-99% . i doubt that they will bother me again.

We got a minute for every new move in.  That was it.  I had 3 move in's.  A minute is not enough time to even find the edit book on his desk (where it normally is), much less find the right page.  I disputed this, but haven't gotten anything back yet.  He wouldn't even give us time to review the book after it came back, which is when most of the problems occur.  I've already had him asking me questions about screwed up stuff.  Screwed up stuff that he screwed up by making changes in my edit book when he isn't supposed to be making changes.  We're about to file a grievance on him for crossing crafts by doing our edit book changes.

I don't remember seeing edit book time.  My sub did the route during the count, so I will have to go back to check the daily sheets.   But then again, I don't think I've had edit book time for the past few years.    However, I only do my edit book when it suits me (or I want new labels).   They very seldom find anything wrong.   I did have one guy with the wrong number, but he does use 2 numbers, so we just added the 2nd one in there.   My stuff is mainly a name change when one moves out and another moves in.   Very seldom get new houses and I will add them in if I do, but I don't worry about the cosmetic changes or my snow-birds.   Funny, but I get one that alwasy comes back at the end of count, and we always just count him in....even though he only has a post up.   LOL     Last year, my sup rode with me and NEVER counted the boxes.   LOL
