YOUR IDEA OR CHANGE
What about if we just concede to an hourly rate. Senior Carriers say 40yrs up base pay at whatever a subcommittee of say 5 from each state agree on. And so on. 40yrs-35yrs.,1.00 less an hour and so forth. Guarantee the rcas a set rate for 3yrs. then pay raise equivalent to that which a reg carrier at one year makes. Senior carriers are awarded an automatic 8 hr. day say 30 to 40yr. 7.5 hr day 30-25yrs. 7.25 25yrs-20 and so forth. I would recommend the rate start somewhere at 30.00 an hour. Set ema for each carrier the same, even rcas. Say 50.00 a day

WHY DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT The evaluated system seems to be a failure.
Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has..

Wow, I dont know if management would let us determine the hourly rate, and what about us older guys over 50, or 60, we should get more right.  This I dont believe would ever happen.  Hourly determined by management and approved by us might some day.

Sorry PT $50.00 per day ema would work for the short routes, but for routes with over 100 miles will give the carrier an undue hardship. Generally speaking if you have a route with over 100 miles the road are usually very bad. These bad roads tear up a vehicle at a very fast rate. A vehicle with 90,000 miles of rough road is dangerous just to walk by let alone driving it.
