Hey all,
Sorry about the short notice but if you'd like to help a local farmer-neighbor out with a bit of physical labor and visit a working farm in Green River Ric & Kelly need some help laying some pipe and other water infrastructure this weekend (Sunday or Monday). They are getting going on a local CSA and about 8 of us local families received yummy veggies from them this season. The farm has goats, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, llamas and water rights from a Flaming Gorge release that is 'use it or lose it'. In order to have enough water to really make the farm work, they need the water straight from the Green, not just the ditch water which is subject to the release whims of the authorities. They have until the end of the year to get the systems in place; pumps, hoses, pipe, sprinklers etc. so they can pass the inspection that shows they can 'use it' so they don't 'lose it'.
They want 3-4 folks on Sunday and 3-4 on Monday to come out and help for a few hours if possible, and they will send us home with YUMMY veggies!
I'm likely to head out Sunday afternoon, anyone able to join me?
