Well here goes - I am 32 and feel I am too young to feel this crippled!! I now own my own business, a bookshop, I have always been in retail starting as part time and worked my up to be manager through different companies. But now I can do as much or as little as I like depending on how I feel. Have been married for just 2 years and been with him (Mike) for 5 years. Mike has been really good through me getting fibro, we met when I was healthy and 6 months later I started where I couldn't run up and down stairs, and then as you all know went downhill from there. I am on a walking stick (silver with pink dots on ( www.switchsticks.com )). And get a lot of nice comments about it, I like to be a little different. I still try and charge round doing stuff or driving to somewhere, and my friends and family come before my health if that makes sense. Just moved into a brand new house - a 3 storeyed town house (yeah I know, who's stupid idea was that!!) but I manage. I don't have any children, Mike has 2 from previous marriage, but we have a goddaughter who I dote on and spoil her rotten.   Er can't think of much else really, oh I am in Goole which is just below York and all my family are in Sheffield.  Anybody got any questions? lol xx

I'm so glad you found this forum - after my rubbish directions

It was really weird meeting Kerry. I'd popped into the bookshop and was having a natter to the girl behind the counter (kerry) when she suddenly asked me whether the ribbon I was wearing was a Fibro one. I was really shocked 'cos people usually ask me what it stands for... Anyway - I told her 'Yes' and then we get nattering about Fibro...and there's one other person in the shop (besides my Ian) and it turns out that her Mum has Fibro too - weird eh!!

So now Kerry and I have had two 'mini Fibro meetings' in her shop - and I'm curious to know which side of the town she lives - 'cos I live in a 3 storey town house too Not that I get to the top of the house that often nowadays, even though it has all my craft stuff in it. I always seem to be busy studying - or resting

Hi Scribbler,

  Well I was doing so well, after telling you I was carefully sometimes walking without my stick, we went to Meadowhall to spend my birthday money on Sunday
I was on my stick and I did fairly well, the first 3 shops we went into I managed to pick what I wanted and bought straight away (which I have never been able to do before lol) we were there about 2 hours and I had got what I went for so I was happy.
 Went to my sisters in chesterfield cos it was her birthday, then we came home. I was knackered but ok. But then yesterday and today I have been suffering. Really tired, ankles and knees wont work. So am a bit fed up now
Are you ok? How are you doing?
