What handheld computer operating system do you suppose would be most ideal for a programmer?  I mean a technical person who likes to be able to tweak things a lot.  I don't mean for your every day user who prefers simplicity.  I mean, for someone who prefers the ability to customize things (even if it takes some knowledge).

Please tell me what you can.  Thanks!

I found something more ideal, but it's not a PDA:

It's called an EEE PC.  They have a keyboard.  They're like miniature laptops, basically, and they come with Linux (Xandros) on them (but you can install something else, if you like, such as Windows XP).  They have USB 2.0, so I suppose you could add an external hard drive for tons of extra hard drive space (they only come with up to 8GB, currently).

Specifications:
• Price is around $245 to $500
• RAM: 512 or 1GB
• Processor: 900 MHz Intel Celeron-M ULV 353 which has 512 kB L2 cache RAM, at 630 MHz (70 MHz x 9) cooled by a fan
• Hard drive space: 2GB, 4GB or 8GB
• High definition speakers
• microphone
• Wireless network card / normal network card (it's the same card, it seems)
• Camera (with the two higher models)
• Weight: 0.92kg
• 2.8 or 3.5 minimum hour battery

See http://eeepc.asus.com/global/ for more information.

Read the criticism on the Wikipedia article, though, if you're a serious computer user.  If you'd be satisfied with a normal handheld, though, you probably don't need to worry about this.
