Hi all!

I am a Science-Fiction and Fantasy writer, unpublished thusfar, of course.

Currently I have just completed the second re-write of my Fantasy novel set in a world loosley based on the Victorian era.

I have also written a few short-stories too, and I hope I'll be able to contribute to this group!

Sounds like things are progressing well with the writing. A complete re-write is a nice thing to have under the belt.

What kind of science fiction and fantasy do you like to write/read?

I am very much into Frank Herbert's Dune, it's one of my favourites, and some of the latest stuff in that Universe is amazing. Of course, I've read Lord of the Rings, and some of the Discworld novels.

Currenly I'm reading His Dark Materials, which I think picks up its pace in the second book.

I've written a short-story about time-travel (which is about 7,000 words I think).

My "project" as I like to call it, is basically set in a world of floating islands where the denizens are loosly based on the Victorians. I've finished the re-write at 190,000 words, which I have been told is waaay too much :S so I'm going through it to see where I can cut down.
