Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed MgWebServerExtensionsSetup-2.0.2.3011.exe along with MGOS 2.0.2.3011. I can get the sample Sheboygan dataset working with the .Net and PHP AJAX viewers. Now I want to use Fusion viewer to see the Sheboygan dataset. Any suggestions and links where I can get more info. on this?

The “fusion/docs/installation.html” is referring to index.html, redirect.php etc…, but could n’t find anything like that obviously. Also, what is the Fusion home-page for latest downloads, documentation etc…?  Too many questions pending!

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Praveen

Hi Praveen,

sorry I've been away for a couple of weeks and am just catching up.  I
don't think there was a reply to this email.

There are a couple of ways to get a Fusion app running, probably the
simplest is just to point your web browser at

http://localhost:8008/mapguide/fusion/samples/mapguide/slate/

This will load the slate template and a default
ApplicationDefinition.xml file (that is stored outside the mapguide
repository in the same directory as the template).

If you have Studio you can create a new Flexible Web Layout and
preview it directly from Studio.  Maestro may have support for
ApplicationDefinition.xml files and Fusion but I am not sure (I
haven't tried it in a while).

The main fusion web site is http://trac.osgeo.org/fusion

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your response. When I installed the WSE(Web Server Extensions), I could see only the below paths:
"www\fusion\templates\mapguide\slate"
"www\fusion\templates\mapguide\aqua"
"www\fusion\templates\mapguide\limegold" etc...
So basically, I can access the Fusion template using the URL:
http://localhost/mapguide/fusion/templates/mapguide/slate/index.html

Basically, I could n't see any "samples" directory within the WSE directory tree.
But the fusion\docs\installation.html refer to them.

Also noted that Common.php file's defaultInstallDir, defaultExtensionDir variable
contents are:
$defaultInstallDir = dirname(__FILE__)."/../../../../../";
$defaultExtensionDir = realpath($defaultInstallDir . "webserverextensions/www/");
rather than the one mentioned in the "installation.html".

I believe it is more like updating the documentation.
Please let me know if I did not get your comments right.

Thanks and regards,
Praveen
