Hi  Everyone,

Is anyone in the list familiar with Geoserver? If so, I'd like to pick your brain for 20 minutes regarding Geoserver's data access methods to give me a big picture while I pick through the code. I'm curious regarding whether Geoserver used OGR, or implemented it's own support for Shapefiles, PostGIS,etc.

We have a customer interested in Ingres + Geoserver vs. more expensive closed source alternatives and thus I am assessing what we need to do to get them running.

If you're willing and able to chat, please either reply on list or in private.

Thank you very much,

Andrew

Andrew,

I think GeoServer uses something called GeoTools for it's data access layer.
