Hi all,
Firstly, i am new to community so plz dont mind if my question is a dumb one...Now....
I want to access GPRS packets before they get to the IP layer..I have learnt that GPRS
phones have a protocol stack and at last the packets reach the IP layer...I dont know
how much of this stack is in hardware and how much is it in software...Plz give me few
pointers.

regards

FSO-based distributions currently use ppp to provide IP-based
connectivity using GPRS. You can talk ppp instead of the daemon (which
is a couple of layers below IP), but you will not have access to the
layers at the radio level, since these are dealt with in the Calypso
firmware.
