Hello,
after a bit of work rev4 classic is now based on lenny. This means
apt-get upgrade works now and new or updated hackable1 packages are
installable via apt-get update, apt-get upgrade.
Thus the full power of 25.000 Debian Lenny packages is available for
hacking fun...
Based on your feedback the following changes were made:
Changes from the rev4 preview
=============================
* Lenny based
* swap gets enabled before first start, first boot is ~180secs
* rotate is no longer enabled by default but can be toggled via AUX
menu
* dnsmasq package installed by default (for easy tethering)
* two additional gpe apps installed
- image viewer gpe-gallery plus mini demo gallery
- gpe-timesheet (time tracker application)
* links2 icon fixed in the today application
If there is no major show stopper rc1 will be the final release. It is
called "classic" as it is based on our classic and proven tarball while
future releases will be based on the automatic build scripts.
Enjoy!
Marcus
