at the top of the scale is a 48K at 57hours 36minutes. above that and you are off the chart. that route (57:36) divided by 6 days equals a 9.5 hour day. that is the top of the chart, the highest you can go. Frozentoes in the above example would lose 5 hours taking the route to 50hours l0minutes. dividing that by 5 days takes the route to a little over l0 hours per day. That is off the chart.
I see the possibility that Frozentoes route would be given a relief day working 4 ten hour days equaling 40K pay. A drastic, terrible pay cut, but a wonderful work week. Some regulars would love it---some hate it. Affected subs would love it.
In my situation, recently falling to a 43"J" route, (47 hours/6 day) losing a max of 5 hours (i suspect it may be less for lower mileage routes) would take me to 42/5day. A small paycut and a 5 day workweek. hmmmmm this is getting interesting, we ALL take paycuts. I had originally been thinking, that the 5 day workweek would boost route evaluations by jamming 6 days worth of mail into 5.
But wait, looking at my chart, take a 50 hour 42K route. Take 5 hours off of THAT route and you get 45 jammed into 5 days: a 45K.
That route gets a nice INCREASE.
