Free Hautwerk Edition as VSTi

In response to a question from our friend Graham Goode, Hauptwerk developer Martin Dyde has confirmed that the free Hauptwerk edition may be run in stad-alone mode (normal) or as a VSTi with a suitable VSTi host program such as Sonar, Reaper, Cantabile, GSO 4.0, VStack, and others.  This would be a good way to add convolved reverb.

I use Hauptwerk 2 as a VSTi with Hermann Seib's free VSTHost.  It runs great.  And, as Joe suggests, you can post-process its audio with any available reverb VST.  In addition, if you have a M-Audio Delta 1010LT audio card with 10 channels of output, you can use VSTs to route the arbitrarily two channel limited Hauptwerk into all five stereo outs of the 1010LT.

Also, on the front end (upstream), you can configure your MIDI input devices (keyboards, MIDI controllers, swell pedals, stop key encoders, etc.) with a LOT MORE flexibility than the rather arbitrarily limited ways that Hauptwerk itself forces you to configure your MIDI hardware.

P.S. Doesn't it gall you to know that Hauptwerk is "cripple-ware".  It has already been written to be able to route selected ranks of the organ to more than two different channels, but until you pay the Dyde/Milan crowd MORE MONEY you don't get that capability enabled!  They don't have to write more software or work any harder to give you that value.  They have ALREADY created that flexibility in the existing software that is installed on your computer.  You just have to PAY THEM MORE MONEY in order to get the capability "unlocked"!  Something smells "greedy" about that practice!

Thanks for the head's up, Frank.  Note that this is the full Orchestra package (the only suitable version for VTPO).  It has a "Buy It Now" price set at $150.
