Former Director of Labor Relations, Randy Anderson, loses son

Elijah Dakota Anderson, 22, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2009.
Elijah's brief life ended in a drowning accident.
Elijah had many interests, but his main one was music. He played guitar and listened to music almost around the clock. He was also a gifted artist.
Elijah was born in Wheeling, WV on September 8, 1986, the son of Diana Olnick and Randy Anderson, both of Moundsville, WV.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Olnick and Cliff Anderson. He also lost his step-mother, Nancy Anderson to lung cancer.
Elijah is survived by his parents; two brothers, Tres and Noah, of Moundsville; and two sisters, Miranda Loy of New Martinsville and Mikelyn Lang of Wheeling. Elijah also has a step-brother, Nick Hayes of Pennsylvania and a step-sister, Monica Hayes of Tennessee. Elijah was Uncle to Jade and Urie Ryniawec of Wheeling, Trinity and Julian Loy of New Martinsville, Phineas Hayes of Monroeville, PA, and Devon, Derek and Daniel of Rockwood, TN. He is also survived by his grandparents, Margaret Olnick of Moundsville, Evlyn Anderson of Cameron, Cecelia and Calderwood Boyd of Triadelphia, and Dorothy Stout of Rockwood, TN; several uncles, aunts and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends. Elijah is also survived by his beloved dogs, Jade and Mary.
Friends will be received 4-8 pm Friday and 11:00 until time of service at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, with Rev. Terry Adams and Rev. Albert Anderson officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
