SALT LAKE CITY, UT (2008-09-24) Lena Fowler is Vice Chair of the Navajo
Water Rights Commission and she says that one of her first thoughts
every morning is "do we have enough water?" The new documentary
"The
American Southwest: Are We Running Dry?" says there is a looming water
crisis in our region - and it will affect us all. Thursday on RadioWest,
filmmaker Jim Thebaut joins Doug to talk about the causes of our record
low water levels and what communities are doing to surmount the scarcity.
Thursday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m., the Salt Lake City Film Center
will host a screening of Jim Thebaut's "The American Southwest: Are We
Running Dry?" The event is free and takes place at the Fort Douglas Post
Theatre on the campus of the University of Utah. For more information
