Folks you sat back and let the big boys shoves 30 letters a min down our throats in DPS, you couldnt even put a limit on how much we were to case at that speed, now  what the hell are you doing about 27 a min for flats, been doing fss for 3 weeks now folks, 27 a min is plain looney, you cant or wont get this changed, I know an office full of carriers who will get out, of an association that is more of a lap dog to the PO, than a union, all the years of complete cooperation with the PO has gotten us all shafted, do your jobs, your suppose to represent the carriers, have you?

The Union is a complete joke, the 50 mile radius MOU signed by the idiots is also killing us, talk of switching to 5 day delivery NRLCA is silent as usual. If 5 day gets passed the NRLCA will have NO dues coming in because RCA'S they will all quit or be let go and the gravy train is OVER NRLCA! NRLCA has signed MOU after MOU and NONE have benefited the rural craft at all!

I have been saying for years that the time standards in place for many items is a joke. But everytime time standards is brought up at meetings the powers to be say that time standards won't be discussed as long as we keep going under our evals.
I think that is the reason why Cantriel(?) wouldn't discuss it at the last contract talks. He gave us a song and dance about how he felt some time standards were unfair but as a whole the evaluation system was fair. I got news for em. I'm under my eval now and it doesn't have anything to do with how I'm able to beat time standards. I have a bad knee and a bad back. How fast do they really think I can go.

The time standards should be the same for All carriers, city or rural. It's the same task. The city carriers union would,nt agree to the number and stood firm. The post office punished them and thus they can't case the DPS.
But in general, as I stated, it's the same job.

There is a city carrier in my office who rides a bicycle to work everyday, 172 miles one way, does it in 15 minutes passing traffic along the way, jogs into the office carrying a 400 lb barbell on his shoulder and yells "Put me in coach, Im ready to play!!"

Me..60 yrs old, worn out piece of meat, get up in the morning and crawl to a chair, take 3 painkillers in order to get in the shower. Fall asleep behind the wheel driving to work and use the handicapped ramp to get into the office.

However, Im expected to work faster than the city carrier.
