I see that FFMpeg is now importing some metadata into audacity projects.
However it's currently emitting unicode garbage strings, which get
written verbatim into .aup files, which as a result can't be opened.

There are obviously two parts to this problem, but I'm wondering if as
well as the import problem there is a problem with the .aup save and
restore of the tag values. In principal the XML file is UTF-8, but we
still need to escape or somehow protect strings don't we?

Richard

Is this is the same "invalid token" error?

I cannot reproduce that error with arbitrary OGG files that I tag with
Audacity or dBPowerAmp, then import with the FFmpeg importer
and save as a project - the tags are correct in the .aup file and the
project opens.

But I think when I got this error after saving during an OD summarise,
I was importing a WMA(?) file at the same time, which might explain it.
Other tagged WMAs I've imported and saved as projects create no problem,
though - either embedded ID3 tags or tags created by Windows Media
Player (which are just ignored).
