Okay, here is one of my personal experiences with a ghost.

This story is true.

I woke up in the middle of the night several years ago and there was a white mist-like form standing at the end of the bed. It was a white form of a woman who appeared to be about middle-aged and she had her arms crossed and she was looking down on the bed and sort of frowning. Then the form floated up to the ceiling and was gone.

It wasn't particularly scary and it only lasted a minute.

This didn't happen at my house, but at a woman's house that I was dating. The next morning I told her about it and she asked me whether the ghost had been a woman. I told her yes it was and she then told me that she had seen her before as well. Not the night before apparently, but on other occasions.

This is the only time that I have actually SEEN a ghost. Some people could argue that because I was in bed at the time that it could've been a dream, but I don't really think so.

We just bought a new double wide and we had  only lived here bout a month when one day I was in our master bathroom out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow that was outlined by a light not a bright light but a light it was like a destrorted picture. I could tell it was a little girl with long blonde hair she appeared to be about 6 or 7 years old. She just stood there in the corner it was like she couldnt get out of that corner. She never says anything but she scares the shit out of me. She closes our bathroom door and she hides things she makes noises. I dont think she wants to hurt anybody or anything Im not sure what she wants but I wont sleep with the bathroom door open.  She has poured out shamphoo turned my bath tub fixure around so the water will go out in the floor. I havent seen her for awhile now maybe she got bored. Never know till the next time she wants to play I talk to her sometimes I think she likes that. Im the onlyone who sees her but everyone ealse has heard her. Just thought id tell you bout my ghost her name is Emily.

Creepy stuff. Sounds a little like an ACTUAL 6 year old, tearing things up and pouring things out. There have been many reports of ghosts that appear as children. For some reason, the children ghosts often scare people more than anything else. Have you checked the history of your home or the land? Just curious. You might find out some interesting things. Also, is Emily just what you have decided to call her, or is there another reason for the name?

that is creepy. i have had something like that but i realy don't want to talk about it. eily is a good name but does she respond? next time you see her ask her what her name is.

So Emily has not appeared in any other rooms in the house? I agree with one of the other comments, that you should check into the history of the house and see what you can find out.

It was terrific experience for me. When I was studying for 10th class all these things happened in my life. One day I was sitting on  the lap of my grand mother. Suddenly a lady came from outside. She requested my grand mother that her head is paining just check it. My grand mother started to look on her head. There had a small iron rod on her head. My grand mother wondered. Then that lady requested that please remeove it my head is paining. My grand mother removed it after that lady's face was changed. Suddenly her body became ugly like skelton. I could not see any skin on here body. I and my grand mother ran from there.

i was about 11 years old living in a town in maine. my parents and two younger sisters also. this apartment building we lived in always had weird stuff happening. the tiles in our bathroom on the ceiling always ended up wet and moved about 3 feet to the side. no one lived above us and the only other people that lived there were on the other end of the apartment and go figure they were 100% christians. they believed that the place was haunted but they always prayed to make it safe. one day i was in my room by myself and i was recording myself singing and i was back to my closet. not weird right? not yet. we ended up moving within 2 months out of state. when we arrived i was going through my recordings and this is what i heard: " i am going to kill you." that was clearly said in the background of me singing to myself. it was a deep scary voice that you would imagine the devil sounding like. we had a priest listen to it and he was baffled. no answer for it. he said it creeped him out. he decided to record over it to see if he could hear it after  but nothing happened. he erased it. we ended up moving back to that state years later and still to this day, 19 years later no one lives in that building...

One time when I spent the night at my friend's house I was on the computer while she went to the bathroom. The computer desk is in the corner of the living room/dining room right next to a door for another add-on room. All the lights were off and I was trying to scare myself by watching ghost videos on youtube. Then I had a feeling someone was behind me and I thought she was back from the bathroom. I turned around in the chair but no one was there. So I turned back around and clicked on the next video then I got the chills down my back and shook. Then all of a sudden the door right next to me creeked open and slammed shut. I fell out of the chair and scooted back on the floor. I stood up really fast and heard whispering and the computer shut off and it was pitch black in the room. I saw a figure near the hall and I though it was my friend so i ran towards it and it disapeared. then i heard my friend call my name and the lights turned on. and ever since then shes been saying she hears whispers calling MY name. Freakyy its obsessed with me.

I've seen 2. But believe that I was looking for them. I have too many personal stories from childhood, but they have made a hunter out of me. I work with Louisiana State Paranormal Research Society, but was not on the job in either case. The first was in the house wrote about in the book "George the uninvited ghost" by Helen Zumo. She and her husband are my friends grandparents in Baton Rouge. There was a group of us sitting around the kitchen table. My seat was facing down the small hallway to the front door. It moved from the unseen bathroom on the right wall of the hall through the bedroom door on the left that was slightly ajar. Next thing I remembered, the attention was on me as the old man said "you saw him didn't you?"? This was VERY commonplace and was the most haunted location I've ever encountered. I was about 16 yrs old.
The second was at the Bechet House B&B in Carencro, LA.( a place we later investigated) Wide steps go down the wrap around porch near where we usually sit and bullshit. It took two steps, also from right to left, and was just gone. Strange how similar, only,  this appeared as a white cloud with only detail in the rear of the silhouette, the first was like green second-hand cigarette smoke. 2 down, ? to go!

One time I was sleeping and I woke up suddenly because something was shaking my bed, I look up and I see white figures. I freaked out because they were shaking the bed more and more violently, so I turned on my light and asked them to leave and I haven't seen them for a long time since then. Another time was when I was at my cousins house I was just laying in bed and looking straight forward then I look and I see a man and a woman, the women was holding a baby in her arms. They were just staring at me and moving closer to me. They didn't do anything though they just eventually left, I couldn't go to bed after that though. I have had many encounters with ghosts so many but too many to write down.

yes i have exspirenced paranormal when i was living my dad i went over to my friends house and her grandfather had just passed away to prior what ahd happend i just called my dad and i swear that my dad said that he was going to kill me and i ask my dad if he had said that he was going to kill me and he said why would i say that and i looked my friends mom and she said that she had heard it too because she was in her bed room and she had picked up the phone to use it and i hung the phone i heard it again and at the same time i felt that someone had placed thier hands on my neck and squeezed and i was kicking the wall to get my friends moms attention and she came into the room and she said that my face was almost blue and she yelled out dad stop because her dad hated me befor passed away beacuse he didnt think a boy should have tattoos and piercings at a such young age and he didnt think that i should be hanging wit his grandson so we had a phychic come in and she said that it was a old guy and he that had attacked a young boy and thats when i spoke up and told that he had attacked me and she thats when she told me that he didnt like me because of the reasons that i stated befor and we kinda had a conversation about the tatoo that i have and i cant go over my friends house no more i dont even talk to him anymore

I started living with my parents when my husband died to help them financially, and one morning my mom came into my room to tell me she and my dad were leaving and would be gone for an hour or so, i was working 3rd shift so i slept late during the day, after they left i was just about asleep again when i heard someone running in the hallway outside my door, i layed there wondering who that could be in our house, then all of a sudden i heard all the cabinet doors in the kitchen slamming shut all at one time, it was the loudest commotion i have ever heard, i thought somone had broken into our house. So i got up and went to my door and carefully opened it, when i opened my door the whole house was filled with smoke, i ran into he kitchen and my mom had left something on the stove cooking and it was about 1 minute from catching on fire, i turned it off and moved it off the burner and then started scearchng the house for whoever was in there with me, i could not find anyone, the doors were still locked from the inside, about that time my mom and dad came home and i was telling them what happened and my dad told me it was their ghost, he had heard him plenty of times walkng around wth heavy boots on, i wasn't afraid, i figured if he helped me like that he must be a friendly ghost, if it wasn't for him our house would have burned to the ground with me in it.

I allways see, and hear  ghosts in my house I have lived there for five years I am not scared because they do not harm me.

I sense and sometimes see ghosts regularly.  Wondering if people have had the same experiences has me.  I have ghosts touch me, and it just really just tickles. I can't see the ghost, be I can feel them touch me and I really hate it!  The ghosts try to tell me their story,but most of the time I can't hear them.  I ghosts I see arn't attached to a house - they come to me as they know that I can sense them.  Just recently I saw a little girl sitting at the side of my bed.  I scared the s**t out of me!  I am scared of ghosts - you think I would be use to them by know - but they are the one thing that really scares me.

I have many experiences with ghosts, almost every single house I have lived in has had something. Whether an erie feeling, noises, or visuals. Four peticular ones stand out in my memory. (1) When I was about 4yrs old I lived with my mom and uncle in a house in Texas. I was constantly having bad dreams and woke up one night to see a man I did not recognize standing over me angry. (2) I was about 14yrs old and I was in East Texas on my ,at the time, step-fathers land. The house had an eerie feel and I had to sleep with the light on. I took pictures of the field outside and when the picture developed I saw a man walking toward a woman who was sitting on a log. They were dressed in what looked like 19th centry clothes and were not there when I took the pic. (3) My moms old house had what I think was a little boy ghost living there. I never saw it but knew he was there, my mom and brothers have though. We haven't seen him since my grandpa passed away, so we think it was my uncle who died when he was 3yrs old. (4) Last, I used to live in an old crack house that was renovated. I'd hear plates rattle in the kitchen, foot steps in the hall, and someone always climbing in bed with me. Note: This only happened when my husband was at work. I believe it liked my son too, who was only 1 month old at the time. He never cried when in the house.

Hello everybody. This site is very interesting and it is good to see authentic, interested people in here.  In reading the stories, I too have TOO MANY to tell.  Our family has tons of paranormal activity...it's like we're magnets for that and it has just become the norm for us.  I remember one of the times we got tricked; our parents went out for the night and I was left in charge of my brother and sister.  We watched tv and decided to play on the "Commodore VIC 20" we had in my room..(I know I'm dating myself now)  At any rate, we were really getting into our game when we heard the door shut and knew it was mom and dad returning home.  Was dark in the whole house except for my room.  Just then we saw the door open and boom! the light went out as if mom slammed the light switch off.  We didn't hear anything but knew it had to be mom because she loved to trick and hide from us.  So we went through every room in the house looking for mom and not finding her.  We didn't think to look outside and so we went out there and no car.  Woah! we were confused.  Mom and dad came driving in the yard a few minutes later and then asked us why we were outside.  It freaked us out.

Whatever this thing or being was always loved to play with us like this.  We'd get off the bus from school and before opening the door we could hear footsteps like someone was rushing around inside.  We'd open the door and it'd be quiet so we figured it was mom again hiding.  We didn't find her and nobody else was home.  Of course a few moments later she'd be driving in the yard.  We'd talk about it and then think that mom thought so hard about being home to do this that it would happen.  

Mom would have experiences by seeing a tall man who always warned her of something.  Once it was really windy outside and we had the air conditioner on the side of the house in the window where the wind was strongest.  They had a board that covered the top of the AC in the window but it was secure.  Living room is connected to the dining area where the window is; she was sitting on the chair in front of the tv when she looked at the AC and saw the "man".  My sister was standing near that area at the table and the man was looking at mom.  He then looked up at the window and pointed towards it and then disappeared.  Mom told my sister to move from there and just as she did, the ply board in the window flew in from the wind and fell where she was standing.  That was a close call.  On one occasion, this man told my mom that he had been around since we were all small children and he missed seeing us outside playing, laughing and running around.  He told her he watched over us.  Weird.  

Another time, my youngest sister was in the room she shared with our other sister.  It was getting late one evening and she wondered what my sister was doing in the living room in the dark like a weirdo.  So she went in there and found my sister sitting on the floor staring into the television.  When asked what she was doing, her response was that she was watching something walk up and down the hall through the tv screen.  When Nic looked herself in the screen, there was a black figure walking back and forth in the hall.  It freaked her out that she walked right throuh the thing and wouldn't go back into the hall.  

These are just a few of the things I could tell you about and there are many more experiences that are both paranormal and extraterrestrial if you will.

This is a very interesting site and I enjoy what I'm reading.

 I've never really believed in ghosts and such but something happened to me yesterday that i can't explain.
I live alone so unless someone broke into my home really quiet and if so that some must still be hiding in my apartment somewhere cause my no window or door where opened after this weird "apparition" (or how the hell you spell it).

Yesterday when i went to bed i started hearing some sort of noise inside the room.
sounded like there was another man/women/something in there breathing.
firstly i thought it was my own breathing that just echoed or something so i held my breath for awhile and realized that the sound of breathing was still going on.
in my room i have a desk in front of my bed in away the way for me to see the door so i have to be seated to see the door and i had a feeling that whoever was breathing were standing by the door. ( the door was closed as i always have it when i go to sleep)
so i sat up and bang i heard a a loud bang by the door running footsteps in the hallway outside the door and something fell to the floor in the living room a few seconds later. I ran after whoever it was (that was what i believed at the time, a burglar) but as i came into the livingroom nothing had fallen to the ground and i am so sure i heard something made of glass fall to the ground in there. No window was open the door was still locked and everything was as i left it before i went to bed.

Okay, I no this dosn't seem reel, but it iz.

   I was in a relative's house. Her husband had just died. So I was there 2 keep her company. When she said dat she had 2 go out somewhere, I was going to stay. so when she left, I went on the computer. After I got sooooooooooooooo bored, I watched the T.V. I went to the kitchen to get something 2 eat. When I got back, the T.V was off. I thought at first that i had turned it off myself. So i turned it back on. After I finished the food, I went to da kitchen to put it in da sink. When I got back, it wuz off. When I was walking to turn it back on, by which point i was pretty creeped out, i heard sumeone down da hall. i thought it wuz a robber, so i grabbed a broom, and followed the VERY LOUD footsteps. They then went into the bedroom, and started to cry, wen I opened da door, no one wuz dere. AAAAUUUUGGGGHHH!!!!
