The Welcome section seems to be a bit empty, but I'm hoping the rest of the areas are perhaps a bit more occupied?

I am an aspiring novelist with a love of just about anything in the Fantasy Genre.  Though I do prefer Alternate Universe(you should see my countless random world maps strewn about in my folders).

I have no real college education as far as writing goes, though I have been given praise for my creative work throughout school by teachers and peers.

I am looking to inspire and cultivate my array of knowledge on the topic, perhaps find some taboos that I need to tread lightly around... as well as hopefully make some friends that understand writer's block and the rush of inspiration after you read an amazing book.

Well... I shall lurk for a while, learn some, read some, not break any rules...

Welcome to the fantasy forums! Thanks for introducing yourself, too.

There are a lot more posts in the other forums (this one is pretty new, actually).

We go through phases, it seems. Sometimes people post a lot, and other times people don't post at all. We're getting more members, though, and more lurkers every time. A lot of them just have busy lives for the moment, I think (such as Aquarius and Bloodstone).

Anyway, don't fret, though. If you post stuff you'll probably get responses. If you don't, just keep waiting—or, if it's been long enough you can bump it to remind us you're still waiting. I probably respond to at least 80% of posts—so it's nice when I see other other people responding, too (it does happen). Perhaps you could help out and respond to some yourself! :)

I like alternate universes. What do you mean by that, exactly, though? Do you mean ones remarkably similar to ours, or just different universes with humans and such?
