Hello,

I've compiled the last revision (n° 2170) on Windows XP. No visible problem (thank you for the handbook !)

But, when I try to use "Synthesizer" item of the "Display" menu, I receive a Runtime Error from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.

Is it normal (under development function) or not ?

If not, could you help me: perhaps I've made mistakes on compiling process.

In case you don't know, there is a prerelease available based on r2168.
Synthesizer item is new indeed but it works fine for me in r2168 and in r2170. Can you give any step to reproduce the crash?
Can you try the prerelease? Do you need the last trunk to develop something?

Exact, I haven't seen the prerelease r2168 !

The Synthesizer item works perfectly !!

So, the conclusion: I'm so stupid (to compile, at least ;-) ) !

I try to use the last trunk, first to understand the way of Musescore is develop and, after, to help to debug, if I can (but if i'm not even capable to compile properly ...)

The crash is simple: I choose the Synthesizer item and I have the error message (see the attach file).

After some investigations (and with the Lasconic help), I discover that the
problem doesn't come from compile bugs but from my configuration.

I've a windows XP on VPC 2007 and I have an issue on sound (no sound and a
crash of Synthesizer).

Somebody has tried Musecore on VPC ? I know, it's not the most usual
configuration !!

Sorry for the first bad analysis.
