This is really frustrating. I've finally found a sound editor that seems to have all the functions I need and is really user-friendly, but am getting some dire results when editing tracks.

I am editing dialogue (MP3), and am creating edit points at silent pauses - but when played back, an almighty 'click' can be heard at the start and end of each edited section.

This also happens when the track is not split, but has an effect applied to a certain portion of the dialogue. Again, a click can be heard at the beginning and end.

I'm only using a standard Toshiba Satellite laptop, but I've never had any problems like this with any other sound editors. Anyone know what's going on?

Did yu try just zooming in and selecting the silent parts? That usually works for me. Good luck.

I think it because of MP3 compression.
I've read something about this in a previous message (long time ago). As
I remember correctly the solution depends on the "Snap-to" feature.

Hopping this incomplete answer could help you
