What site? We don't have on online translation status page for audacity,
but you are right that the nl.po file currently in CVS translates all
2087 messages currently in the audacity.pot file, i.e. the current state
of Audacity CVS.
The audacity website is prone to a slow trickle of minor changes, so the
current status is 778 translated messages, 4 untranslated messages, with
those 4 being some recent changes to the download links (we now have
downloads available at Google Code as well as Sourceforge).

There is no point translating the old nl.po file from the last beta
release, because we will be releasing what is currently in CVS as
Audacity 1.3.8 beta on the 12th of July. At that point we will have a
complete Dutch translation of Audacity in the release - thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The audacity.pot file and the
associated .po files for audacity are all for the beta version of
Audacity. We aren't soliciting new translations of the old stable
release (Audacity 1.2.6) because we expect to release a new stable
version based on the current beta this autumn.
