I'd like to see something similar to what Mozilla Support implemented to rate and provide feedback on docs in plone.org. See the bottom form in this page.

Feedback messages could become tickets in Trac. Do you think this could be helpful to spot incomplete and hard to understand documentation?

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)
Re: [Plone-docs] Documentation rating / feedback The plan is to create links for people to file bugs in Trac in lieu of using comments, though the implementation will be slightly different than the link you included. I know that there is a content ratings system written by Alec Mitchell that we’re looking at, but that’s a little different.

If there’s someone who’d like to build something special for us, then why not? I wonder if there’s someone who’d like to donate their time to write something?

I guess you mean Content Ratings. "This package's default configuration provides two rating categories. One for user ratings, and one for editorial ratings." Looks promising. :-)

I'm not an expert in adapters and the ZCA in general but I think I could help adapting the Content Ratings product to our needs. :-)

In general I like the idea.  Right now you have no sense whether or
not people are using the documentation, except for the amount of
comments.  But that usually just means there were errors :)

iirc there are several incarnations of this package out there.  Isn't
the new software center going to have ratings once we get plone.org
upgraded?  Would be a good idea to piggy back on that development.

It might make sense to have several categories of ratings.  Helpful,
clear, etc.

It would be nice if you could add a rating and a comment at the same
time too so that you know why the person gave a specific rating.
Though this may be overkill.

It's what we will be using for PloneSoftwareCenter, so it's in some ways
becoming the standard rating mechanism. If you want to look into ratings,
that would be the best product to investigate. :)

Maybe off-topic but I wish the PSC had a community promotion feature
like Amazon's Listmania lists.  That would be so cool.  :-)

That would be cool indeed... sort of like ohloh's "stacks" feature where
you can list what products you use.

You could probably whip this up as a standalone product (hint hint). :-)
