Dixie...oh Dixie....

hey all...just wanted you to know Dixie tore a ligament in her knee..ouch....big ouch...and her puter got hit by a big one...it bit the dust.(huge lightning storm) ..she is heading for the doctor on Monday or Tuesday to see if she needs surgery on her knee,,and hopefully a new or fixed puter in the near future...Must be pretty miserable to be stuck at home in pain and to top it off, no puter...Dixie we love you and hope you will be back very very soon. good luck on the knee recovery.......

Thanks for letting us know this Annie.  I will send her a card too.  When did she tear the ligament?  I tore my calf muscle in two places, 2 months ago and it is painful, so I can image what she's going through.  Is she going to stay at Shawn's place?

I think it was on Thursday. No she's not staying with Shawn. He stayed an extra night with her. A good friend of hers is staying with her. that's really nice about the card, I know she'll enjoy that

Hey Annie- Dix just called.  Her doctor's appointment is tomorrow afternoon and they are definately going to do surgery.  Doctor wants her off the blood thinners for a few days before.  She is in a soft cast now that she can't take off, even to sleep.  She said after the surgery she will be in a hard cast.  She borrowed a walker from a neighbor that is helping her get around some.  I hate it that she's there alone.  As far as her computer, she just sent all the insurance paperwork off so she should have a check in 1-2 weeks.  She said that there maybe enough to get a new computer and a laptop.  She's going to call again to let us know when the surgery is.

thank you very much for the update..hopefully the pain has subsided. I don't like it that she's alone either. I'll bet her boys are keeping a close eye on her though...thanks again.
