1,000(+/-) homes destroyed, 4,500 Residents displaced.

200(+) Small Businesses destroyed, 1,500(+) workers out of jobs.

2,500 First Responders and Firefighters on hazard duty and overtime Davis-Bacon wages.

Power outages, power lines and gas lines destroyed, Insurance and Government money compensation wages to replace and rebuild.

FEMA, Red Cross, Salvation Army, City, etc; Paid shelters, food and beverages, relocation services.

Homebuyer, Investor, and Community Leaders confidence shattered, Credit shot for Banks, Builders, Building Designers, Construction Trades, Building Codes and Building Departments.

Recovery and rebuilding time estimate: 5-10 years to return to economic vitality, without improving the building frames and fire-proofing of the building exteriors, same chance of being burned down again.

Where's the "Pot of Gold"?

Permanent Fireproofing the exteriors of the replacement buildings!!

$200,000.00 building totalled by fire: $200,000.00, plus interior property losses, plus $200,000.00 (minimum) rebuilding costs.

$200,000.00 building partially damaged around the exterior: $20,000.00-$50,000.00, total.

Difference: $150,000.00-$180,000.00, plus saved interior property, plus saved $200,000.00 (minimum) rebuilding costs.

"Pot of Gold": $350,000.00-$380,000.00!!

Frees up Credit and Investors, Lenders, Insurers, builds confidence for Community Leaders, Builders, Building Designers, Construction Trades, Firefighters, First Responders, Buyers, etc.

Any opinions on this perspective?

So far I'm "pushing".  Should I wash the ashes off my car just yet?  No.  I do need to get that smog check soon because my ritual right to donate my first born, also known as car registration, is due.  Cough, Cough, I sure am glad that the State is looking out after my, cough, cough, lungs with all this smog caused by the autos.
