Hi Everyone,

In the absence of any responses to my last mail:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/dfey-nw-discuss/2009-07/msg00065.html

I've tentatively booked a DFEY-NW meetup on the 15th of August at
substance.coop - the people who funded us to go to 2morro.

Time is to be decided & discussed, however I'm thinking midday -> 3:30
unless anyone thinks differently.

If there's a group of people who are free and think that's a long way
away, suggest when you are free before then and Ill see where we can get
to have another meetup before then!

Hope this suits people - it's a bit before Young Rewired State so it
shouldn't interfere too much with that.

Cheers,

Tim

Is this still happening? I haven't heard anything off anyone but think it'd be great to get a good number of people coming. Anyone else going to come?

15th August sounds good I should be shaking with nerves over exam results by then :)

Although, how far is far?

Lots of love

Yep, and I got confirmation from Stephen yesterday so that's all good to
go! :)

Yep, absolutely. I was waiting for confirmation before pushing this further.

I may come if I haven't moved away by then.

It would cost me £45 to come otherwise ;-)

Get a young person's railcard, book in advance, book offpeak and ask Rob
nicely if he'd be willing to work out the cheapest route. :P

Hi everyone,

I met up with Steven from substance.coop - our venue - yesterday and
this is all good to go.

I'm going to announce the meeting to the world.

Anyone who wants too help out could populate this wiki page some more:
http://dfey.org/wiki/Manchester,_August_2009

Create a facebook event for it, create an upcoming event about it.
Post the wiki link it to fsdaily.com
publicise it on indiemedia.org.uk
post it to fss.union.shef.ac.uk
publicise in on ##teenlinux and #teensonlinux irc channels and any other
place you think might be interested

Might be worth drawing a bit from here:
http://groups.fsf.org/wiki/Manchester/Meetings/Publicity
which is where manchester free software group reguarly publicise
meetings to.

I'll post this to many mailing lists I think might be interested.

If you've any thoughts on how to get this meeting more publicity, feel
free to suggest something or JUST DO IT! :)

Cheers,

Tim
