Hey there,

We have 9 people from DFEY going to 2morro Festival in London a week
today. If you'd still like to go but aren't on the list[1], I suggest
you contact me ASAP but sadly the deadline has been and past... :-/

On Friday, I had a meeting with Steven from substance.coop and I now
have a better grasp of the situation:

* Substance have offered to buy train tickets for all those coming from
Manchester and has also very generously offered to buy train tickets for
Rob in Wolverhampton & Connor in Bristol.
   * I'll be meeting Steven on Monday to pick up tickets for those
traveling from Manchester
   * We'll snail-mail Connor & Rob tickets.
   * For Manchester people, we will be meeting early on Saturday morning
at Manchester Piccadilly station.
   * I'll sort out the details regarding times as soon as I have the
tickets however I suspect we'll be meeting shortly after 7am & returning
between about 8pm and 9pm.

* I need to provide Steven with everyone's email address so you can get
access to some 'special parts' of the festival website.
   * If this is a problem, or you'd prefer me to pass on a specific
address please let me know, otherwise I'll pass on what ever you
subscribe to the list with.

* Substance have a large allocation of tickets for 2morro and are very
happy for us to be making use of them.

* Substance have suggested that someone will be available to help the
Manchester contingent get across London to the festival. Rob & Connor
may need to make their own way there or meet up with us.

* I am told Food will be provided at the event.

* I am told that there will be unproblematic power and wifi throughout
the venue to feel free to bring your laptops (at your own risk etc.)
(those who have been to some of the past DFEY-NW meetings will know the
'fun' we've had getting power & wifi in some places!)

* If anyone's parents are concerned about who or why you are going to
London and you would like to put their mind at rest, Steven has let me
know he would be happy to speak to them.
---

Obviously Substance are making quite a sizable contribution in terms of
money, time and effort so I hope everyone can make a real effort to get
out of bed and get to the station in time on Saturday morning. ;)

I'll pass on more information as soon as I have it or it is decided.

Cheers

Tim

I'd firstly like to say a quick thanks to the guys at substance.coop,
I would imagine that 9 tickets, especially as the ticket for myself
without a 16-25 railcard is £76, is a substantial amount of money.

I also think it's brill that Rob and Connor's train ticket has been
covered!

Hi All

Just to let you know that we bought and picked up all the tickets today.  Tim provided me the addresses for Connor and Rob, so I've sent their tickets through via snail mail (please let me know you get them!).

Just to also confirm - we have bought standard tickets, but when you book online you have to state a time.  So - your tickets will have a reservation with them, but you dont HAVE to get that train.

We also got underground passes for the day for people (nearly forgot that!)

My colleague Barbara Brayshay will happily meet people at Euston , so Ill pass her contact details to Tim tomorrow

Best wishes,

Steven

Hey everyone.

I met Steven today, and I now have tickets for everyone coming from
Manchester.

Manchester based people, here is the important information:

2morro is this coming Saturday in case you were unclear.

Please can we meet on the benches between platforms 7 and 8 (under the
*arrivals* board and clock) at:

7:15am

SEVEN FIFTEEN in the morning

07:15

Please be there then - trains wait for no one, and I'll have the tickets.

I have the tickets and we'll sort out distributing them at the station.

I also have tube passes - apparently we go down the Northern line when
we arrive at Euston (at about 9:42) to Waterloo and walk from there,
we'll have met up with a Plings person (Barbara) before then, so it
should run smoothly.

If you have a mobile phone, please could you ping the number at me - it
would be really helpful to be able to keep track of people.

My number is 07922334403 and it will be on all day if anyone needs to
give anyone a point of contact.

I'm not sure how promptly we'll head back after the event finishes but
our tickets are flexible, so I suggest we get either the 18:20 or 18:40
which get us to manchester at 20:28 and 20:49 retrospectively.

Lastly, I have very kindly been given some money for some coffees on the
way down. There is one proviso though - that I get a receipt - do not
let me let any coffee lady get away without giving me a receipt...
remind me... rugby tackles if necessary. srs.
:P

7:15 - Piccadilly on the benches between platforms 7 & 8.

Be there!

Tim

Hi All

Look forward to meeting you on Saturday.

If anyone has any leaflets for "places to go, things to do" for teenagers that they have have picked up/found/been given, if would really be appreciated if you could bring them along on Saturday - just whatever you may have to hand..

You don't have to have coffee btw - tea or a cold drink might be better!

Thanks

Steven

Just a reminder, please be at Manchester Piccadilly railway station at
Seven Fifteen in the morning. Please don't be late - I can't wait for
you or make trains wait for you.
I'll have the tickets on me

My mobile number is 07922334403

It's going to be a long day - get some sleep if you can!

Hey Steven. 2morro was quite fun. Thanks for paying for the tickets and
such. We all appreciate it. :)

Also, I was thinking about where my interests and Plings converge, and
may be interested in making something for a bit of fun. We'll see.
