Hello folks,

First, what are you taking next semester?

And second, I can only find three classes that I want to take. Got an suggestions?

Currently my list is:

LBCL295 - History of Art
CART356B - "Realtime Audio" (formerly "Topics in Abstract Soundscapes")
CART253 - "Languages of Programming"

Otherwise I'm stumped.

CART352 - "Synthetic Sound and Image"?
IMCA222 - "Electronics for Artists"

Calculus II?
Something in Anthro.?

I would take a course at the Liberal Arts College (that will be my major next year), but the only one I can take conflicts with 356. I'm thinking 352 is a good idea because I might want to get a CART minor and it seems like an easy course. What do you think of Santo Romano?

Don't quote me on this..

but I think it's going to be Anne Galloway... I have here for 453
right now... abnormally strict for CART, but a great teacher. Also
lol, I find the combination of 452 and 253 funny. You're going to be
so bored in the 200 level class.

253 might be tough for someone who doesn't know how to program at all.
It's required for the specialization students for that reason.
If you know programming, then it will be painfully easy, but at least
processing is a fun platform.

Mazi, I'm in the night class as well and I'd prefer the other. Ah well.

I'm anticipating that the class will be excruciatingly boring, but I'm
treating it as an excuse to learn Processing.

Santo is cool, he is more on the practical side I would say, he's in
the business and makes a living out of it. He's interested by
education (media-online-electronic form) and many other things like
Italian renaissance :) ... He cares about his students, and about the
fact that it's a class and you're there to learn..

synthetic sound and image, It depends who teaches it. I had it with
Théres and it was about video art, but I know Santo at that time had
the same course and was teaching flash in it!
