COME ONE, COME ALL!!!

The Grand County Council will be holding a public hearing on the
Evaporation Ponds Ordinance that recently was developed by the
Planning & Zoning Commission.

Even if you don't want to testify, it is so important for community
members and oconcerned citizens to come and show their interest in
this issue.

What's at stake?
- How Grand County chooses to respond to requests by the oil and gas
industry to use our desert as a disposal site.
- How we will protect migratory birds that will land on these
artificial wetlands in the desert (that are full of largely unknown
chemicals)
- How our medical community may have to respond to emergencies if
industry workers have incidents/accidents that involve these wastes

If you do want to testify, there is a 3-minute limit, so come prepared!

THANKS!

Terry
