Could MuseScore recover from a crash like a browser?

1. set auto save on, on one 1 minute
2. imagine musescore would have use a (xml) file to store the path of the current open scores
3. suddenly musescore crashes on a specific action
4. when restarting musescore, it could check the (xml) file and in case there are still filepaths in there, which means the program wasn't closed well, it could offer a dialog to the user: restart previous session?

Would that be possible?

I noticed that Werner has been working on this matter, so for anyone who wants to test the preliminary implemention of MuseScore session control, download the nightly build by David at http://davidbolton.info/musescorenightly/
