If I only claim to have a 2 year degree from a community college would they be less likely to check?  Would it be easier to fake?

It's really going to depend on your age.  The younger you are, and the less work experience you have, the higher the chance that a company might want to verify the information.  Most HR departments are overworked and overstaffed so it's not likely to happen.

Generally speaking it's not likely that a potential employer is going to do a check if you claimed you had a two year degree.  Keep in mind that the best jobs are reserved for a 4 year degree.

One more thing to remember, you may be asked for a copy of your college transcripts.  Be prepared for that question.  There are many online services that offer transcripts.   Read the section on College Degrees at Fake Resume

I am starting to think big with this whole fake resume thing.   Do you think I would be able to pull THIS off:

Heres my plan.  There's places that hire english teachers overseas....like to Japan and Korea.  The ONLY requirements are to speak english and have a degree.  NO teaching experience needed and they dont require you to speak any language but english.  My plan is to get a fake degree diploma and transcripts and send them in.

What are the odds I will be able to pull this off?

I think the more desperate they are for talent, the easier it will be for you to pull it off.  Do what you said and you should be fine.

Well I just found out that the Japanese/Korea/Taiwan (whatever country i go to teach at) would also look at my degree.  Could they be fooled?
