Hi All

I have not used collections before, but was in a brand new site I
built from  a default buildout using the template plone3_buildout. I
am using plone 3.1.2.  When I  create a collection, then when I go to
set the criteria I set the field name to "Item Type" but the criteria
Type is always blank. It does not matter which Field name I choose
"Catagories", "Creator" etc the drop down menu for Criteria Type  is
always blank

If I just hit Add Criteria I just get the error

Criterion of type ${type} not added, it does not work with index Type.

If I go to another plone site I have on another machine also running
plone 3.1.2 also using a plone3_buildout template I do see  items in
the criteria  type list. For example if I select "Criteria name" as
Catagories I see a drop down list of "Text" or "List of Values"

Anyone know why I am not seeing this in my other test site

Steve

More info

When I click on the pull down menu that is blank
        it display something like

         <option value="AtSelectionCriteria">Select Value from list</
option><option value="ATSimleStringCriteria">Text</option><option
value="ATlistCriteria>List of Values</option>

These are the correct values it should be showing but why is it not
showing them in the drop down list.

Plone 3.3.1?  Turn off JavaScript in your browser and you will be
able to set this properly, then turn JS back on when done.

I don't know, but I was fighting until today (about 2 weeks of my spare
time nights) to figure out why an upgrade of my Plone 3.3 site
(including PloneFormGen 1.5.1) to Plone 3.3.1 + PloneFormGen 1.5.2 did
not work.

The only thing I could find when I googled around was that it might be
related to Cheetah 2.2.2 no being compatible with the some version in
versions.cfg. (Don't take that for granted, I am not an expert here,
just guesswork.)

Anyway, adding

Cheetah = 2.0.1

to my versions.cfg and re-running bin/buildout solved my problem.
(Well, actually, I run Plone 3.3 currently.)

Hopefully someone connected to Cheetah or PloneFormGen takes a closer
look to see why Collections get broken.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Ralf

Sorry please ignore this post and thread I started

My buildout was building a 3.3.1 when I thought it was a 3.1.2.

This bug has already been reported for 3.3.1 and a patch made available
