Categories NOTIFICATIONS - PLS HELP

hi,

I wanted to Categorise the notifications , that is , in my WAN there are large number of routers and switches so i wanted to direct e-mail notifications to the persons who responsible for that zone .how do i do that............i have already Categories the nodes using Surveillance Categories..........pls help thanks......

Hi

there are a lot of possibilities to categorize notifications for  
different people. There are two things for you to focus on. First, you  
can define for each category a "nodeDown" notification with a specific  
Rule (e.g. catincWAN). All devices which matches this rule will be  
send on a "destinationPath". You have to create a destinationPath  
which defines one or more notification methods (Mail, SMS, XMPP etc.)  
and a person or group which contains the contact informations.

Here can you find on which attributes you can group or exclude/include  
nodes in your notification. Some more detailed information about the  
pure notification can you found at
