I upgraded from NB 6.5.1 to 6.7 and now I cannot see the NM Properties in an Assign step.  Anyone know how I can get them back?

Thanks

Hi Chris,

do you mean you could not see the NM properties nodes for components in bpel mapper as shown below:

do you have BPEL plugin installed (as shown below)?

Yes, Jim that’s right.  And I do not have the Plugin installed.  Where do I find that exactly, does it come with the component install?

Chris,

you can do one of the following:

(1) use GFESBv2.1 released installer at https://open-esb.dev.java.net/Downloads.html
which will install a netbeans with soa packages (NB651)
(2) or install separate components (runtime + design time) as instructed by the wiki page: individual installer or jnlp install...

(3) for netbeans6.7 with soa packages, download installer from the following:

ok, so this switch to 6.7 has not been easy.  I ended up un-installing everything, server, netbeans and taking the option 3 to download the whole thing from Netbeans site.  I installed 6.7.1 and Glassfish server included in that install.

- Then I installed the SOA plugin listed in the default available plugins list
- Tried to install bpel se but got an error that sun-wsdl-ext-library was missing so I downloaded and added  to Resources section on server.
- Tried install of bpel se again and it installed.
- When I started up NB again I got the attached error.  Now when I try to Activate with SOA or BPEL plugin I get an error.

So my question are :

- How can I fix this error?
- Is there any published list of steps that I need to follow in order to install 6.7.1?
- Is there any advantage to using 6.7.1 or should I stick with 6.5.1?

Thanks in advance

Chris

I figured out what my issue was.  I was not installing the actual ESB portion, I was thinking it was coming with the Glassfish/Netbeans install.  So I think I am all set.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

good to hear, you're right, the netbeans 6.7.1 external downloaded installer does not come with SOA pack, I did not make this clear in previous e-mail.

the bits have to be added on top of the install...

the nb6.7 compiled bits from the above page went through certain test and so it is recommended for playing with...
