Hi..

Some moron broke my freerunner by a hard impact yesterday.. :(

now the bootloader (Qi) starts, and I think Kernal start booting, too..
I get messages like:

[ 0.000000] Unknown boot option 'g_ether.host_addr=00:1F:11:01:2D:C7:
ignoring
[ 0.000000] Unknown boot option 'g_ether.dev_addr=00:1F:11:01:2D:C7:

[21474578.655000] INFO: RCU detected CPU 0 stall (t=429491571/8000 jiffies)

etc...

when I touch the screen, I get:
drivers/input/touchscreen/s3c2410_ts.c:stylus_action bug.
drivers/input/touchscreen/s3c2410_ts.c: stylus_updown lost event!
drivers/input/touchscreen/s3c2410_ts.c: stylus_updown lost event!

is there something I can do?  I mean, beside getting a new FR :S :(

Cheers,

One more thing, I can also get into NOR Bootmenu.. flashing kernel
worked.. now flashing a new image on NAND... maybe it just needs reflashing?

will come back with info..

If you're building something and you have a tech writer trying to
document it, and the tech writer walks into your office and says, "I
don't know how to describe this," it means one of two things. Either
you've got a really stupid tech writer who you should fire. Or much more
likely, you've got a bad piece of design and you ought to rethink it.
You have to rethink, because an API that isn't comprehensible isn't usable.

After flashing, did you boot from nand bootloader (by pressing just
the power button) or did you boot from nor boot menu? Maybe you need
to reflash the bootloader too.

I have a freerunner with a cracked touch membrane.
My friend thinks it could be fixed, but I haven't
found an independent source of the part.
(haven't tried hard)

A used freerunner wasn't much more $ than
a repair....and I may have a use for a tiny Linux
box even if you can't do Input.

You could look for damage at the lower right of the screen where the
four wire flat cable connects to the touch screen. Just in case it is
something easy to repair.

I'm not so much concerned about those touch messages.. (didn't see any
detached wires while I had it open, though) :)

What I worry about is:

[21474548.655000] INFO: RCU detected CPU 0 stall (t=429490971/2000 jiffies)
[21474578.655000] INFO: RCU detected CPU 0 stall (t=429491571/8000 jiffies)
(and so on)

ever seen that? what does that message mean?

Cheers,

According to [1], it indicates that the CPU is spinning in the kernel.
Does this error occur if you boot from uSD or just when you boot from
the NAND?

Interesting.. weird..
Just "erased" the NAND rootfs and kernel.. and booted the SDCard again
(to make sure it actually boots from there)..

I get the stalls with both.. booting NAND as well as SDcard..

Cheers,
