The main idea is BlueGPS simulator can not "turn" a phone in a GPS receiver if the J2ME application (which runs on other phone) is written using JSR 179. Does anyone knows what can be done to change this?
I have tried to use BlueGPS on a Nokia 3600 slide in order to simulate a GPS receiver.
If on other phone (Nokia 6120) I run an application which uses a GPS receiver -- with JSR 82 -- the 3600 Slide is seen as a GPS receiver.
If If on other phone (Nokia 6120) I run an application which uses a GPS receiver -- with JSR 179 (Location API) the 3600 Slide phone is not seen as a GPS receiver. If I use a real GPS receiver (a HOLUX) my application works.
