Aux Assignment - Is it Career or Not?

Is the Aux assignment considered a career position?  Does the aux assignment qualify an employee for health benefits?

The Auxiliary route is not a career position so it does not include benefits except annual and sick leave while you are in the assignment.

Can anyone tell me if the pay for a TRC on an aux route is at eval or is it actual . At sometime does is switch to eval after so many training pay periods???
