Is it possible to have the recording stop automatically after a certain period of silence? I am trying to burn a lot of tapes into mp3s, and would like to do so semi-unattended. If I'm not there to manually stop the recording in Audacity when the tape ends, it records long periods of silence at the end which I then have to manually remove.
Seems like it would also be a very nice feature to have Audacity act more or less like a noise-sensing switch, starting to record when the microphone head a sound, then quiting when it was quiet. But right now I'd be glad just for the ability to have it end the recording after 30 seconds or a minute of silence.
