Attempting to install 6.5 with the latest Windows SDK

I have the Microsoft Windows SDK v7.0 installed.  I also have v.6.1 and
v.6.0 installed.  Im trying to re-install  EiffelStudio 6.5 x64 and it is
reporting that it has found the SDK v.6.1.  I used the Windows SDK
Configuration Tool to set v7.0 as the current version.  Is there a way to
get the EiffelStudio installer to find v7.0?

At the moment, EiffelStudio will only look for 6.1 or earlier until more testing
is done against 7.0.

7.0 was actually supported since January but at the time it was in Beta so was not put as the for most option when searching for a C/C++ compiler. We do this to ensure a Beta WSDK installation does not interfere with final release WSDK that might also be installed.

I'll revisit the code and all being well 7.0 will be officially taken over 6.1 in the next interim release, as the WSDK 7.0 has actually be released.

Would it be too painful to list all versions found, with the 'best'
first, but let the user choose another if appropriate?

No too painful but it's not a quick fix. We have thought about this option but it hasn't been a priority. Typically we support the latest WSDK when it is officially released but we missed the release notification on this one.

The most troubling part of providing an option is the installer. The new installers tried to be smart and as easy as possible. There is quite a bit going on behind the scenes. We opted for a single track installer that took care of the advanced settings so users new to Eiffel wouldn't be daunted by the number of configuration options they have to jump through to get EiffelStudio installed. We can definitely add an option page but it may not make the 6.5 final release due to prioritizing.
