YOUR IDEA OR CHANGE The postal service buys gas in bulk and receives some sort of discount - I read that Donahoe stated they have not been greatly impacted by the rise in gas prices due to the fact they receive a discount. We work for the same service - why can't we receive the same discount for our postal related gas purchases? Have we attempted this avenue ever. The postal service says that maintaining a vehicle is 88 cents per mile (this is with their discount fuel purchases) and they are now paying us a mere 62 cents per mile and yet we fork out full retail for our fuel. Logical - no! Fair - NO!
WHY DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT We are working for the same entity and deserve the same benefits.
