Hello,

Ever since my birthday in 2006 I've loved Thai food.  I've been wanting to learn how to make some.  Do you know of any good recipes that don't require too many strange ingredients?  I mean, I don't want to have to buy tons of strange stuff in order to make the food (but if it's cheap, that's not a big deal).  Coconut milk, though, that's a must.  Maybe fish sauce and lemon grass.  I discovered a good lemon grass substitute, though; I'll have to post it here as soon as I remember what it is.  I think it was some combination of ingredients or processes that mimicked the flavor of lemon grass.  I don't know if that was when I was trying frying imitation crab with lemon juice, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, and such, or not (probably not; I think it was more recent than that, but if it was, it was likely the garlic, ginger, and lemon combination that gave a hint of it, and not the pure flavor itself).
