I don't think so: http://www.upepiscopal.org/
Some links on my blog: http://god-s-will.blogspot.com/2009/02/communion-ications-buddhist-bishop.html
An interestingly and detail comment (not necessarily my opinion): http://accurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2009/02/future-before-your-eyes.html

Gosh, he must have done something really bad in his previous life to be re-incarnated as an Episcopal bishop. He's a long way from Nirvana now.

(Or maybe not. Hmmm.)

Hi Jane, its a hoax!! <- I hope that makes you feel better because sadly it's very true and the actually election process appears highly corrupted because "bishop Forrester" was apparently an active member of his own selection committee - the committee that recommended him. As far as I understand it there was no diocese voting process, such as occurs elsewhere. The presiding bishop Catherine Jefforts Schori is well aware of the problems with this 'election' (as she is well aware of all the other big episcopalian scandals) and has strongly defended the process!!!

Virtue online has an open official letter from a large group of South Dacota episcopalian leaders opposing his election as bishop -> http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=10011  POINT-5 in particular is a total gem - you are not allowed to even talk (robert duncan) to other non-episcopalian anglican organisations (southern cone) lest you be de-frocked by your presiding bishop, but she is now affirming that being a ordained buddhist is ok!!!

They also have an excellent article from a more removed observer, the dean of Dallas, explaining how the process worked and decrying it as a farce -> http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=9991
