My grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in January of 1983. The doctor said she had a couple of weeks at best.  He said it was one of the worst cases he had ever seen. My grandmother was a wonderful woman.  It was decided not to even tell her she was only going to be with us such a short time. She was given all the standard treatments because we refused to give up on her. She never complained during all the chemo which at that time was really horrible and made all her hair fall out. The doctor was amazed by her.  She had many  churches and people praying for her.  God cured her of this horrible disease. She lived many more years by the grace of God and  in the fall of 1997 she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and again yet another doctor gave her a few days to live.  We took her home and lavished her with love as we had done beore. In May of 1998  for Mother's Day she wanted to have a picnic outside in her yard with all her children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
We took her outside in her wheelchair and pushed her up to the table. She was chilly and wanted a hat and blanket so she was all wrapped up  when we snapped a now famous picture of her.  She ate more that day than she had in a long time. She seemed really happy. I picked up the pictures and was waiting  in the car to pick up my little foster-brother from school. I told my four year old we would look at the pictures to pass the time. She was standing in the back lookin over my shoulder at the pictures. I stopped in shock at the picture of my grandmother at the picnic table. I didn't say anything because I just knew I couldn't be seeing what I thought I was seeing. All of a sudden my four year old said "Mama! MawMaw has angel wings!" I knew I was not imagining it. It was clear as day! Beautiful golden angel wings behind her shoulders. The entire family was stunned. We knew she was our angel on earth, but here was proof. We had the picture examined by a photo lab. There was no explaination for the appearance of the wings. No other picture on the roll of film had anything unusual. My MawMaw was with us and lived with me until she passed away in April of 1999 once again fooling all the medical specialists. God gave us more time with her before he called her home and for that we are still and will always be greatful. The local Hospice has one of these pictures framed.  In loving memory of my Maw Maw.

7Ive had something like that too. My Grandpa Ezell's death. We took him to the VA, but the people there wouldn't take care of him. They didn't care about him, so he passed away in his bed. I think my grandma's house is haunted by my grandpa's ghost. Every time I walk into his room, I'm cold when the themometer is 83 , and I hear someone whispering my name. At his funeral, I saw a misty human shape standing over my grandpa's body. I never told a soul until now.
