Virtue online has published a number of interesting articles on the just concluded primates meeting in alexandria.

http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=9874 quotes our primate Phillip Aspinal (acting as group spokesman) backing away from (previously agreed?) sanctions dealing with the divisive and heretical actions of TEC.

http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=9893 has the communique issued at the end of the primates meeting. Amoungst other things it re-affirms Lambeth 1998 Resolution 1.10 "in its entirety"

http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=9900 has a statement from Robert Duncan, Bishop of Pittsburgh in which he affirms the alexandria communique, but he also writes of the pain of TEC litigations "Those of us in the Common Cause Partnership who live face to face with the stark realities of unjust depositions, lawsuits, and forced evictions from church buildings and homes are acutely aware of the need for resolution. We are committed to help the process however we can. We are aware, however, that the innovations, punitive lawsuits, and abuses of the Episcopal Church continue to take a toll. They proceed unrepentant and undeterred. We of the Common Cause Partnership and the emerging Anglican Church in North America will do our part for the good of the Anglican family we value so much."

http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=9899 has the upbeat reflections from Greg Venables (southern cone) and Luke Orombi in which they discuss that there is more clarity on both sides and that they feel the Anglican communion will eventually split because "there were now two religions existing side by side in the Anglican Communion that were irreconcilable." and "We soon discovered that there was the Christian faith and something that was not the Christian faith.
