Ajax callback error without any reason.

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

Hi all.

As I was developing fusion just before the weekend I recieve one of errors I‘ve had before but I can‘t seem to fix it. I thought it was something I did but I‘ve made sure that it isn‘t. I did that by rolling back in our subversion system to a earlier revision / version. And even to a point where everything was fine and working a long time ago.

So now I‘m curious if somebody knows what this error means. This error system / handling could be improved by actually telling what file is doing it wrong. If somebody could point me in a good direction where to break, that would be great as well.

Console.log =

POST http://localhost:8008/mapguide2009/fusion/MapGuide/php/LoadMap.php jx_combined.js (line 876)

Fusion Error: WARNING: Error occurred in an AJAX callback. SyntaxError: invalid label File: undefined (219) xx)

Fusion Error: WARNING: Error occurred in an AJAX callback. SyntaxError: invalid label File: undefined (219) xx)

This is the cause of me not being able to see my map.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Tómas.

Hi Tómas,

the error is coming from LoadMap.php (first line), it looks as if you
have modified this file around line 219 and introduced a syntax error
(hint: look for 'File:').

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

You know, I'm not sure that's the thing. I have witnessed these errors appear before the LoadMap.php is posted. Now the thing is I also have tried using a backup of my files that are week old. Reverting any modification to a state where everything was working but still no luck. This is line 219 of LoadMap.php just to be sure.

$filterText = $filter->length==1? $filter->item(0)->nodeValue: "";

And to clear things up here is how the error looks in the console with line breaks.

Fusion Error:
WARNING: Error occurred in an AJAX callback.
SyntaxError: invalid label
File: undefined (219)
xx)

So File is not the invalid label, but the File that the error occurred in is undefined. I have also searched through every single file for the error message "invalid label" and I couldn't find it. Which is very strange. I have found stuff like, extents not valid or something like that but not invalid label. The only thing that matched "SyntaxError" was in some narcissum selenium javascript files and I have no idea what that is.

Regards,
Tómas.

Hi all.

Anyone who says ignorance is a bliss, clearly has never done any programming. Anyways, this very obscure error has been annoying me in great details all day long and after re-installing web server extension and Mapguide server, I have found out with this new error so.

Fusion Error:
FATAL: Failed to load requested map:
ERROR: This evaluation version expired on: 2008-07-04 This evaluation version expired on: 2008-07-04 Exception occurred in method MgLicenseManager.CheckLicense at line 208 in file d:\buildforgeprojects\carrera_nightly\build_32.2\ent\server\src\common\manager\LicenseManager.cpp

Now, as you can see it's obvious that I forgot to install with a license and have done so now and everything is a-ok.

But to re-iterate, I think that error reporting by fusion could be done more explicit, i.e. log the file that the error comes from (instead of 'undefined').

Regards,
Tómas.
