Hi,
I am Anthony Baldwin, translator and interpreter, and aspiring software developer, the owner of this site.

BaldwinSoftware.com features software which I have created, and/or FOSS projects which I have initiated or in which I participate. All of the programs I have put together are FREE/OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE.

This means, the software is free to download, free to use, free to copy, free to redistribute, and, even, free to modify, in that, you may access the source code, change the program to your own needs, and redistribute it again, so long as you abide by the same license, allowing others to do the same.  They contain no spyware, malware or viruses, and won't stop working and ask for money in 30 days, either.  I write programs for my own use, and then share them with others, as the Open Source Software community has done for me.  It's my way of giving a little something back.

I wrote most of these to be useful to me in my translation work, or for other purposes, but, some were just for fun.
I hope you enjoy them.

Programs I have released at the time of this writing:
TransProCalc, translation project management financial tools.
TclText, a gro0vy text editor rich in features.
TDict, a multidictionary word lookup program.
TclTunes, a ticklish front-end for mplayer.
TclUP, a ticklish FTP client>
TclScreen, a screenshot snapper and uploader.
TKLJ, a ticklish LiveJournal client.
TclTherapy, a ticklish InsaneJournal client.
Shakes, a Shakespearean Insult Generator, written in Python.

More to come, for sure.

Most of these programs are all written in Tcl/Tk, but I am also learning python and perl, so expect new stuff in those languages.  Some are cross-platform, in that they will run on Linux, Mac or Windows, although, some functions may not work as well Windows, at least not without a little work.

I've bundled most of these applications, along with lots of other great FOSS for translators, in my own, home-made gnu/Linux distribution for translators: Linguas OS.

** BaldwinSoftware.com will also feature software by Sam Baldwin, my nephew, and a real hacker if I ever new one.
