Just thought since we are hearing so much about PMs trying to force carriers into LWOP
for 2080 projections this time of year, that I would post some info on it.
Here are a couple of links that have some good information on it
THE ANNUAL RITE OF 2080/2240 PROJECTIONS
2080/2240 CHART
Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has..

Just a couple things to remember:

(1)  They cannot force you to use LWOP.

(2)  You are only required to use the leave you earned THIS year.   If you have carry-over leave from last year, you cannot be forced to use it.

(3)  Manage must have a talk with the carrier in a 2080 leave problem status and give them WRITTEN info on the status, showing this projection.

Remember that this 2080 thing right now is only a PROJECTION and not what you may actually need.

When submitting leave slips, add the comment (used to protect against 2080 problems).  When they deny them, this is YOUR proof that you attempted to avoid any 2080 problems and can be used against the PO.  Keep a copy of your denied slips.

Try telling THEM that! I've put up with more crap for so called "2080 problems" over the years than I can tell ya!

The problem is, at least around here...if you don't agree to LWOP they'll just cut your route.

PM is on vacation, so I asked the clerk in charge where exactly I stand on the 2080... surely it would be horrid!!!  Since I already got "if you weren't having surgery...you would be in 2080 trouble.

Well, how the hell is that?  Is my math that bad?  It has me at 1476.78  hours right now.  With 12 weeks left, as long as I average under 50 hours a week....  wtf 44J....  with 2 holidays left in guaranteed period.

12  X  50 = 600 hours....
