Is anyone else having an investigative meeting about the use of 3575Z (MLNO) during the past mail count?

I know in Florida that several carriers have been removed and are being investigated for falsely submitting COAs.  If you can justify filling out 3575Zs during mail count, you have nothing to worry about.

I know they questioned me turning in carrier endorsed COAs (MLNA) during the count.  I think as long as you're filling out the correct form for a resident/business that truly did leave and fill no coa for themself you would be ok.  Am I misled here?

Well, I don't know if you are being mislead or not.  The carriers in my ofice that have been questioned so far are all being suspended without pay.  Believe me we all thought we were filling out the 3575Z appropriately.  Are you a carrier in AZ?  If so, whereabouts?  I usd to live there.  Good luck!

Have the carriers actually received notice of removal or are they suspended pending the investigation?  In my office those carriers that were qustioned have all been suspended.  One way to get around the no lay-off clause I guess.

I filled out 2 during the count and the post master just took a photo copy of them.  They moved without leaving a forword and new people moved in 10 day hold. How can they be suspended for doing their jobs?

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)
I carry mail in the Las Vegas area and as of yesterday morning there have been 5 of us suspended pending investigation.  We all maintain we were following instructions.  the feeling is here that the decision was made high up to use this as a way to reduce the number of Rural Carriers since we have a no lay-off clause.

Thats crazy. I filled out at least 6 during count, but I also have done at least that many since. I have a route with college students that come and go without leaving a COA all the time.

how many 3575z forms are we talking about 2? 3?  or 20? 30? more?  I would assume it must be an unusually large number

The carriers in vegas that have been suspended filled out 40-60 during the count.  That's what got them flagged and suspended.

I'm going to guess that you are the same person I was speaking to on our way out of the post office this afternoon...(that obivously posts on here)

40-60 MLNA's is between 10-15 A WEEK... i nearly half of my 725 customers are in my apartments, I was lucky if I had two a week...(I had 8 total).

The carriers in my office that have been placed off duty have not filled out 40-60!   I am being challenged about why I filled one out for a female name several months after a change from the same address was submitted.  I had to justify that the husband moved out (individual COA only), and several months later the ex-wife and her new boyfriend just quit picking up mail, the box filled and 10 days later I did a MLNA on both.  Now I was challenged because the new boyfriends name hadn't been put on the label in the NBU.  Not required to put labels in boxes or manitain them.  In Las Vegas/Henderson " lands of foreclosure"  people are just walking away and not looking back.  MLNAs are going to continue to increase.
As we can see there is a way to get around the no lay-off clause we have always held so high.

I don't know about that. I have 3 apt complex's and people moving out all the time. Sending back mail all the time for not picking the mail up. And still I don't fill those forms out. They do you no good in the first place. Just my 2 cents. Plus our management wouldn't let you fill those forms out anyway.
