3.xx JW Player Support - Getting Cropped video

Hi There,

Long story cut short...I am wanting to use shadowbox with JW Player 3.xx as the newer 4.xx version doesn't support the callback flashvar which I heavily rely on.

Is Shadowbox meant to support usage of the old JW Player 3.xx? Whenever I try to use it, I get some awful cropping on my video. Roughly 50% of the video shows, with no player bar. I have found one other thread relating to the same problems, but no reply were given. I have tested on FF and IE8, with the cropping occuring in both browsers.

Using 4.xx, the problem goes away - but of course I can't use the callback flashvar - so I am in a bit of a pickle.

Any help would be appreciated.

Furthering my exploration of this issue.

I have gone back to using JW Player 4.xx and have found some callback add ons.

The new issue I am stuck on is this particular add-on requires a flashvar called "yourlytics.callback"

This seems to be tripping up shadowbox. Specifically the full stop in the flashvar...

How Can I work around this?

I've found that single quotes around the flashvar with the dot in it does the trick. Hope this helps someone else in the future.
