WHEREAS: A career rural carrier working without a time limit as a 204B (USPS management position). Utilizing the 204B position because physical inability to consistently perform their rural carrier position.
BE IT RESOLVED: career rural carrier would be limited in time working as a 204B, making a decision to either become full-time management or full-time carrier after certain period of time (1-3years?). Maybe have a period of time where they would have to stop being 204B and go back to doing their primary job (1 year?)
INTENT OR REASON FOR CHANGE Carrier tying up career position that they only work maybe half the time. And, also trying to hide a physical inability to consistently work their rural carrier position. Make a decision to be one or the other and not abuse the current system in this area year after year.
Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
